A mindful approach to tinnitus management

Tinnitus care focused on you

Tinnitus is not just a sound you hear; it is something that affects your everyday life. Tinnitus can make you feel anxious, make it difficult to concentrate or make it hard to enjoy time with family and friends. It can even make it harder to get a good night’s sleep.

Please know that you are not alone. Tinnitus affects millions of people worldwide, and although there is no cure for tinnitus, that does not mean there is no hope, help or relief.

Personalized care, from an audiologist specializing in tinnitus management

How you experience tinnitus is personal. Some people are unbothered by it or need only a bit of support, while others need ongoing support. No matter where you are in your experience, I am here to offer you compassion, encouragement, and practical methods you can integrate into your daily routine to find relief.

I will provide you with a strong understanding of what tinnitus really is, while teaching you mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation techniques, along with thought and behavioral strategies that will help you find relief. You will not only become aware of how mindfulness and meditation can help you manage your tinnitus, but you will also gain an understanding of how your thoughts about tinnitus influence your feelings and behaviors.

Once you become comfortable using these techniques, you will be able to use them anytime you need. These methods are a resource for you. You are welcome to use them alone or in combination with other resources, including hearing aids, tinnitus devices, sound therapy or counseling, to manage your tinnitus.

Help, Hope and Relief

I am here to meet you wherever you are in your experience with tinnitus. I know this journey is not just about your tinnitus. It is about lifting the weight of distress, worry and annoyance to become more connected with the people and experiences that are important to you. It is about respecting that you know what is best for you and providing you with the techniques and practices to support you throughout all of life’s experiences. Above all, it is about focusing more on your life and less on your tinnitus.

“People start to heal the moment they feel heard.”
